#4285 CAUSES OF PEDIATRIC END STAGE KIDNEY DISEASE IN SUDAN

Abstract Background and Aims Sudan is a large Sub-Saharan country with population of about 48 million people, 41% them under the age 15 years median 18.9 years. To data, no data have been reported on etiology end stage kidney disease (ESKD) in children young adults less than 18 age. Method We conducted chart review all ESKD patients below treated tertiary referral center, Soba University Hospital (SUH) Khartoum, capital Sudan. The research was approved by SUH ethical committee. report descriptive statics, including age, sex, causes, biopsy frequency. Results included 885 this analysis, their mean (SD) 12 (3.0) 57.7% were males. Glomerulonephritis, mostly post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis, leading cause (36.8%), followed unknown etiologies (25.3%) congenital anomalies urinary tract (CAKUT; 14.9%).
